On a quiet country road, Jasmine's car chooses this moment to stop running. Unable to re-start it, and having accidentally left her phone at home, she decides to go on foot in search of help. She comes across a house where an old man lives, seemingly alone. By this time, Jasmine is nervous and more than a little frightened, convinced now that someone was stalking her in the woods. The old man seems concerned and invites her in, and with only the slightest of reservations, she enters the house. The old man does his best to reassure her, declaring that he used to be a cop. He promises to call his buddies at the local police station and have them send a car to escort her back to her vehicle, and at the same time arrange for a breakdown truck to come and collect her car. He offers Jasmine a glass of water and she accepts, but when the old man starts staring at her and making her feel uncomfortable, she decides not to drink it, just in case. When he persists in being creepy, Jasmine decides to chance her luck and go back to her car and wait for the police and breakdown truck. The old man follows her to the door, trying to persuade her to stay, but she is determined to leave. He has no choice - he grabs Jasmine and presses a chloroform-soaked cloth over her nose and mouth until she passes out.
When she wakes, she discovers the old man just finishing off duct-taping her to a chair. She struggles frantically, trying to get free, but the tape has been pulled tight. She tries to reason with her captor, but all he wants to know is her name. When she refuses to give it, he decides to go to her car and look for her purse, and hence her ID. He gags Jasmine and leaves her unattended. She renews her efforts to get free, but she has been secured well and she can't loosen the duct tape binding her wrists. After a while, the old man returns. He has her wallet and knows her name. He leans over her and tells her it's a beautiful name. Jasmine is still struggling and trying to resist his attentions, when he decides he will make her more comfortable, in his bedroom. He again produces a cloth and knocks her out with chloroform.
When Jasmine recovers this time, she is in a bedroom and is being held at gunpoint. She is ordered to strip down to her bra and panties and is then made to gag herself before climbing onto the bed. She is told to stretch out her arms and legs, allowing the old man to bind her wrists and ankles, making her secure for the night. He has plans for her tomorrow and she is going to need a good night's sleep. After he leaves, Jasmine fights with the ropes, pulling on them and twisting her wrists. She is startled when she finally manages to free one of her hands. In a panic, she unties her remaining limbs, climbs back into her clothes and manages to flee the house. She returns to her car and tries to get the engine to start again. To her immense relief, it does, and she quickly drives away before the old man can come after her.
