Claire was in touch just recently. Unfortunately, she is touring, placing her in the high risk category. The other factor is that her partner actually got Covid-19 and suffered with it for weeks, quite badly. We have provisionally discussed a shoot next spring, but we'll have to see how it goes.
I'm afraid all the wishing in the world is not going to change anything because C-19 is running rampant across the U.S. If you want to blame someone, the total ineptitude of the flaccid orange one is what has made things so much worse than they need have been, placing most hires out of reach for some time to come. Other, less responsible producers may still go ahead with hires, so you can always go to them if you need your fix. Let's just hope it doesn't cost anyone their life.

I really do not want to go somewhere else for my fix. The flaccid orange one has promised us a vaccine within a few weeks!

It may, but it's going to get extremely bad before that. Widespread distribution of vaccines is some way off; it's a huge task that, as far as I know, has not even been tackled yet in any serious way.

No, it's fine. I understand the desire to want things to be normal again. I suppose I'm just saying that I won't succumb before it's safe.

I will say that I can wait for my fix. You have spoiled me now. Other, less responsible producers also tend to want to be the stars in their own productions and take away from the main attractions. I will be honest here. I vote based 99% on my own interests. I look at who will be best for my paycheck, retirement & 401(k), and liability & safety.
Currently, the orange man, in my opinion, has been best for my paycheck and 401(k). Both have improved greatly under him than under the previous leader. The liability and safety is questionable. Every country is experiencing a COVID-19 situation and each are handling it differently. I am not sure if letting the state governors handle their own states or submit an Executive Order for the entire country to control the spread. Whether a vaccine is coming out or when it will become available depends on if one can trust the orange man or the Forgetful One.
I do not choose my friends, acquaintances, business dealings, etc., based on politics. You have provided quality entertainment for me and have delivered on your promises to me. Therefore, I really do like to stay with you. I do hope the COVID does not get to you nor shut you down. Your safety should be the primary concern. I have had family members who had COVID. It is debilitating, if not deadly.
I can wait. I am patient. Be safe.
