You might ask. By the way, the movie they removed was "The Transporter" starring Cadence. I'm sure there will be more casualties in the weeks and months ahead, but they will remain in my own bondage store until such times as policies change with Verotel. I think it's just a case of being more creative with story lines and not relying on the old tropes.

So, have the new rules at C4S turned you off from that site? Do you still pay them much attention? I know a few producers who have gone your route and opened their own stores on separate websites so they could continue to sell their own content outside of C4S guidelines. Unfortunately, they have to look at alternate forms of payment for their products.

No, I shall continue with them. Now that they have an effective anti-piracy company working with them, sales are up. For the most part, I will avoid showing weapons (they can be implied while never appearing) and chloroforming. Because chloroform scenes are short, I can film one take with a hand over the mouth grab but no unconsciousness, and another where the knock out takes place. This is especially the case for a custom requiring it. I can then sell that version in my own store. At the same time, I am mindful of the fact that Europe will follow the lead here in the U.S. and will eventually clamp down on showing these things. In fact, they are already forbidden but there is little to no enforcement. That will probably change.

As I mention in my updated custom guidelines, if a buyer wants scenes which contain C4S forbidden material that I cannot publish, they will have to pay extra for the time it takes to film these things, keeping in mind that they may never be used anywhere else. I should probably take pains to point out that this is not a mechanism to get me to film things which are actually illegal; there are some who will try.

A recent tragedy has brought to light the use of weapons as props on movie sets. Actor, Alec Baldwin, discharged a prop firearm that struck Cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, and the film director. Hutchins was rushed to the University of New Mexico Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The incident is still an active crime scene and is under investigation.

As horrible as the tragedy is, this does bring to light some thing else that has bugged me. They will allow the use of real firearms tailored for use as props in film and tv shows. Yet, independent film-makers, not just in the fetish industry, cannot use even fake toy weapons with orange tips obviously intended as children's toys.

It shows that two different sets of rules are applied here. If you work for a major studio and have a major huge budget, your film or show gets to use weapons as props. If you are an independent film producer with a small budget, forget it, no weapons allowed or your project is cancelled.

The tragedy was horrible. I really do feel sorry for the family of Halyna Hutchins. Her family did not need to lose her like this. I hope the case can be wrapped up competently and everybody be left with closure. However, it also irks me that two different sets of rules are in play here. What would happen if the major studios were put under the same regulations as the independent film producers?
