I was just wondering if there were any plans to remaster any of Melanie's works as I noticed that many of her videos have been removed from the website.

Many of the old 4x3 aspect ratio movies have been removed owing to a lack of space on the server. They are still available via Clips4Sale, albeit at a higher price.

You are the third person to ask about remastering old videos in just the past week. I can't do too much of it because it takes an enormous amount of time. As for Melanie specifically, most of her videos did not sell a lot back when they were released, so it's fair to assume they would not do much better now. Another customer is asking about Beverly's movies, but the situation with her work is much the same. Still another wants me to remaster Tabitha movies. It could easily become a full-time task.

What I will do from time to time is select something that sold well when it was released and remaster it, but no promises.

Was Melanie one of the models who gave you trouble or was she one whose videos just did not sell well with the DiD community?

Good heavens, don't apologize. I'm happy to get questions like this. I'd actually love to digitize all of that old material to get it off tapes which will deteriorate, but it does take a lot of time to do it. As for upscaling and cleaning, that takes about a minute for every 3 seconds of video with my current equipment. I admit, the results are just fantastic. I'm hoping to get a more powerful computer in the not too distant future which would speed up this process considerably. At that point, it would probably only take a hour or so per video.

Melanie was fine, and we worked together quite a few times.

As for sales, these are mediocre for at least half the models I hire. It's partly the choice of material (I'm sure explicit content would sell a lot more, though many of the girls I've worked with would never do it), and partly how they come across to the audience. There's no way to know who will truly resonate and who won't. The outstanding ones are Jayne and Jasmine (perhaps having a name start with the letter J is the secret!), where almost everything they do (or did) sells well. With some others, they can put in a fantastic performance but there is not much interest in them. It's subjective.

If the sales drop below a certain level, where the model repeatedly costs more to hire than I make back, then inevitably I have to stop working with her. In that respect, the audience decides who should return and who should not.

Yes, I agree! Do not apologize. It is a great question. We love to hear from other members in the community besides ourselves. We get bored listening to ourselves talk to each other all of the time. Hit us with more questions.

It is shame some models just do not resonate with the audience. I do not like the extreme fetish but your tastes are great. I can understand if a model is a pain to work with but when she is good but not "sellable" that just seems like a let-down to her, almost, in my most humble opinion.

Who is this Jayne model you refer to? I see her clips in the store and they look real old. Did she quit modeling, only doing a few for you?

She was the most popular model on my Bound2Burst website, by far the best seller in her time. We only started to do bondage videos with her towards the end of her time with us (2007-2011).
