I know Dave says to be nice to others but I wonder how he feels about this applying to other producers? Another forum I visit often, DiDVids, often lets in on the quality of other producers. One, in particular, who has come to the attention of a few of the major forum participants, is Powershotz. I cannot say, word-for-word, what was the starting post on that topic as it has a few colorful words.

Powershotz specializes in the Damsel-in-Distress scenario but involves BDSM, lots of rope-play, abduction, minor torture, and simulated rape. The producer likes to use LOTS of rope in binding his victims. As one member put it, Powershotz will use his entire stock of rope on one girl and, almost, mummify her. He likes to bend the models backwards, sideways, and any way he can to get a painful gasp out of them. Another post commented that he could sell better if he could keep from talking so much. The things he says on his videos will usually have his models laughing and his purchasers cringing.

"You need to be held and you, you need to be kept!" What is meant by that sentence? As one poster pointed out, he sounds like a pedophile on helium so he really should not be taling at all.

Could he not just tie them up and let her struggle on her own? He likes to shake their head around while, also, bending the model backwards before whipping her. As mentioned, Powershotz like to simulate raping and/or molesting the model. This is done while he is saying the craziest things to her and, every so often, zooming the camera in on the model's sexy feet as they dangle in the air.

Anyway, Powershotz has turned me off. If it were up to him, I would, probably, be turned off the DiD theme entirely.

Is there a favorite studio, besides Dave's, you like and visit often? Is there a studio we should avoid? Is this the meaness, you told us to avoid. I will stop if it is. I just feel some critical analysis is due to help other forum members make better decisions when buying from other studios.

I suppose you are free to criticize others just as you are free to criticize me. That said, let's keep any comments focused and not destructive. It would be good if other users recommended, or otherwise, studios they have visited, as long as we don't start a war with other producers, and as long as it is understood that there are many different tastes out there, and what you and I might dislike, others may embrace wholeheartedly.

I assume Powershotz is deeply into the bondage himself and is playing out his fantasies, rather than worrying about sales. Models sometimes work for people they call collectors, who tie the girls up and film it for their own personal use, but never release the videos.

The thing that got me started in this business, more than anything else, is the fact that I could not find much bondage "porn" that I enjoyed. While I don't always achieve my own tastes, I do try to keep away from things I would be ashamed to publish. Like music though, it's very personal and doesn't stand up to too much analysis.

Powershotz isn't really for me, but presumably others enjoy their work. As long as the models agree to work with them and are happy to do what they're asked, I don't really have strong feelings on what they get up to.

I'm happy to speak up for models or studios I like, then it's for others to investigate whether they agree or not. Chances are, if you like Dave's work, we have some preferences in common, but plenty of room for shades of grey.

Perhaps if we concentrate on what we DO like, positivity will be to the fore. If I don't mention a studio/model, you might draw your own conclusion that they're not a favourite, but it might be that I just haven't seen them yet.

I like to put all options out there and provide feedback on what I, myself, know or assume to know. However, I do believe it is primarily to respond for requests on information about a particular model or studio that any feedback could be given. I will say, I enjoy this forum but I was trying to generate more conversation and replies rather than just views. I was hoping to get a feeling out there that we can discuss all things bondage and Damsel-in-Distress on this forum rather than just viewing what the latest video Dave has produced.

I enjoy the "conversations" we have about as much, if not more, than just the one-time posting of videos. Your topics on specific models are a great example. That is what I was trying to get started here and with Captured Beauties. I see videos that strike my interest but I know nothing of the studio nor the model. The teaser is, either, non-existent or extremely vague. I mean, what can you glean from a 10-second teaser?

I do not want a war with other producers. However, to me, and it goes to tastes, are not worth looking at IMHO. Others are worth a look if you are into Bondage but no the torture, such as, choking, flogging, violent shaking, and, especially rape, even if it is implied or simulated. Please, let me know if a studio I question diverges into these areas. I will avoid them and you would be doing me a favor, especially as I would not feel as I have wasted my money on another worthless video.

Fortunately, Dave does not offend me with his videos. I love the stories and plot lines that go with his videos. I have vouched for Dave on other forums I visit, including the one that warned me off of Powershotz.

You really need the quality of production and acting to make the plot work, both of which we have here. I will credit Seductive Studios, That Fetish Girl and Anton Video for delivering on both of these. Some other studios don't manage both, or indeed either, so maybe it suits them to concentrate on the bondage...

This is EXACTLT what I was talking about! Kudos to you, GB2691, I was trying to get a few topics started on other studios to visit and, maybe, a few to avoid. If you want to stay away from the topic of who to avoid, I understand and I can do the same. However, letting me know (and others) I believe is an outstanding community service you are performing for the general DiD public.
