Vonka pays a visit to her neighbor's house because he is running a lot of machinery all through the night, and it is keeping her awake. She asks him to stop making noise at night, and when he proves evasive, she tells him she will involve the police who can then tell him to desist. As if to mollify her, the man says he will show her the source of all the noise, but once he has lured her into his garage, he grabs her and zip ties her to a chair, pushing a ball gag into her mouth to shut her up. After he departs, Vonka notices that he made the mistake of leaving his clippers on a chair across the room. She works the chair across the floor to reach the clippers and finally succeeds in cutting herself free. Before she can make her escape, however, the man discovers her and cuffs and shackles her to a bed, this time silencing her with duct tape. With nothing she can use to pick locks, Vonka is stuck with no hope of escaping again.
