Rachael arrives home from work and puts her car away in the garage. She has a big day ahead of her tomorrow - she is testifying in a big case where her ex-boss is being tried for fraud. Just as she is reaching up to close her garage door, however, a masked man jumps her and presses a cloth soaked in chloroform over her mouth. She recovers later to find herself tied to a stool in her basement, but before she can ask many questions, the masked intruder sticks three strips of duct tape over her mouth to silence her. He says he is keeping her prisoner until the trial is over to make sure she does not testify - she could be tied up for days; even weeks! Rachael struggles long and hard to get free, getting some of the ropes holding her loose but unable to free herself from the ropes binding her wrists. She ends up laying on the floor, still attached to the stool, and attempting to untie her legs... that's when her captor returns and admonishes her, saying that now he will simply have to tie her up again.
