Mura is in competition with a work colleague for a promotion, a colleague she does not like, and she has tried to come up with a reliable way to make sure the other girl misses her interview so that Mura will get the promotion by default. She finally hits upon the idea of using a spell to tie up her competition and make sure she can't get to the office. She orders a book of spells off the Internet, taking a chance that it may be just a scam. When the book arrives, Mura is anxious to try it out to see if it really works. When she enunciates a "Spell of Bindings" to test it on herself, it exceeds her wildest expectations. But she has made a miscalculation. Now that she herself is tied up, she can't reach the book, and can't quite remember the counterspell. She does her best to reproduce it, but each time she tries she gets something wrong, making her situation progressively worse. When she accidentally conjures up a gag for herself, she can't even speak to try the unbinding spell again.
