On trawling through my backup drives, I find I have most (if not all) of the video produced in 4x3 aspect ratio during the above time frame. Because they are stored as original imports, it would be a simple matter to upscale them to 1080p for republishing. Of course, it takes a lot of time to do that, so I would only pick a sample for now. Perhaps in the future when I have a much more powerful computer, I could undertake more of them.

There's a lot which don't have much substance; back in those days, no one seemed to care, they usually sold pretty well regardless. Now, more involved storylines are preferred. I will therefore select a few of the more complex videos from that time and see what I can do with them. They will be remastered in the true sense of the word, not only enhanced and upscaled, but re-edited from scratch. I love doing this sort of thing, if only it didn't take so much time to do it.

What I'm looking at is a Mac Studio with monitor, so about $7,500 for the power I want it to have. At the moment, I am paying off hospital bills and taxes, so common sense tells me to delay plunging into this at the moment. I can get by for a while yet.There's no question though, that a changing market compels one to keep up with the advances in hardwar4e.

As for servers, I already have two required to run the business. A third would add considerably to the annual running costs, so I'm trying to avoid having to take that step. I know someone will ask why I need dedicated servers, and the answer is simple - 3 TB of data, and OpenCart stores that require a lot of ram for downloads. If I share servers, my activities either shut out other users or crashes them. My hosting company strongly recommended that I go with being self-contained a long time ago.

So, you want/need the Mac studio with monitor. You want to hold off on getting a third server. Is that correct?

I don't want a third server at all. I will start to remove poorly selling content when the need arises; there's no point in filling a disc with content no one is interested in.

I'll be dealing with the equipment upgrade for editing and production when the time is right.

That makes sense. Get rid of what is not selling or selling well. Harty will hate to see Beverly's videos go away. We do what we have to do.
