Fight with Clips4Sale

Post by davidnorth »

In recent weeks, almost every bondage clip I have posted on Clips4Sale has been blocked because the model "looks too distressed" (despite signing a consent form to say it's fine), and it's now reaching a point where I am threatening to stop posting anything to the bondage store (33391) at all. I have no idea how this is going to play out, but if I do stop, it will reduce the income from them, and for bondage content overall. Even Lady Lazarus's first clip has been blocked when I tried to post the iPhone version, which means the other two versions (MP4 and WMV) will probably disappear as well. I think this is mostly the work of one reviewer, since others seem happy to have these clips posted. Clearly though, I can't go on pussy-footing around their absurd limitations.

The problem I have is that sales from my own BiB store are not sufficient to warrant the cost of producing a lot of bondage videos. No matter how many new items are posted, the monthly income remains more or less the same. Given the high cost of maintaining a server for this content, it means that I may not be able to afford to hire models to do this work outside of customs, where the shoots are more or less paid for. All I can suggest is that you guys make mention of the store wherever possible to encourage people to buy from it, otherwise I see a time when it may have to close down. I hope it won't come to that, but it's certainly possible.

Dave,

I am so sorry to hear about the issues you have with Clips4Sale. These are the EXACT same issues other producers I know have with the company. It is almost as if C4S is marching themselves right out of business.

I will always promote your business. I will put out your store information wherever I can. I hope it never comes to you losing C4S but the company is getting so very strict it is unreal.

Best of luck to you! You always have my business!

For what it's worth, the other two versions of 'Walking in on a Burglar' are now up on C4S.
Your overall point stands, though. Who'd have thought the quality of acting from your lovely models would prove to be a disadvantage...

This is what is so annoying. The MP4 and WMV versions passed without a problem. Then I uploaded a version formatted for an iPhone, exact same content, and it is refused by the reviewer who wrote this:

During the review of your clip: Walking In On A Burglar (iPhone) - Lady Lazarus / 27047887 the following Compliance issue was found:
1. There is a scene in your clip at 03:15-08:30 where a performer appears not to be consenting to the action depicted. All acts (sexual or non-sexual) must appear to be fully consensual. Depictions of violence, excessive distress, or acts performed without a performer's knowledge or full consent (sleeping/eyes closed, asking for the act to stop) are not allowed in any clips, videos, images, or previews, regardless of the context and/or scenario. If you have any questions you may reply to this email. Thank you for your cooperation. 2.The Clip Image (GIF and Preview) does not match the clip. Please correct the image and re-submit your clip for compliance review.

If it's so bad, how come the other reviewers didn't catch it? And notice the chunk this one wants removed, a full 5 minutes! Moreover, the image and preview accompanying the clip did match. They were exactly the same ones used for the MP4 version.

Clearly, some of their reviewers are assholes. How the hell do you fix stupid? Naturally, C4S is not planning to do anything about it. From now on, when an MP4 version of a clip is accepted, I shall not post any other versions. That should cut down on this nonsense.

They've completely removed Lady Lazarus' first clip now. It seems Snowflake and SafeSpace just couldn't handle it. I'm not sure where that leaves us in terms of plots, since I regard that video are remarkably tame. C4S really has lost its way.

Na, fuck the bastards. I will produce more or less any script containing the usual old tropes (gun, chloroform, unconscious, etc.). All I ask you guy is to bear in mind that I'll charge you a bit extra to help compensate for losing 50% of the revenue from it, unless it can be sufficiently hacked around to be published on the children's channel. If "Walking In On A Burglar" shows a girl too distressed, then we really do have no place to go with it.

You’ll still have my business. Quality content is worth paying a bit more for.
